The YWCA of Palestine Celebrates World YWCA Day in Jericho
On Friday May 4, 2012, the YWCA of Palestine celebrated World YWCA day in what is believed to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. Seventy eight YWCA members, board members and staff from Jerusalem, Ramallah and Jericho headed to the old city of Jericho and shared the global breakfast together as a celebration of the 24th of April World YWCA day.

Young Women's Leadership Programme
The World YWCA equips young women for the challenges of leadership through internships ; leadership training opportunities at all regional and global events. The YWCA has always affirmed the importance of partnership across generations, and therefore, also encourages both formal and informal mentoring relationships.

The Power to Change Fund is used as a re-granting mechanism from the World YWCA to YWCAs globally.

This toolkit provides YWCAs with leadership tools such as the Standards of Good Management and Accountability, Empowering Young Women to Lead Change Manual, information on young women's leadership in the YWCA, and links to programmatic resources for YWCAs to utilise.
