Action Alert for Palestine and Lebanon
It is more than two weeks after we issued our first Action Alert, and the "open war" on Lebanon and Palestine is still on. The Israeli attacks have targeted every town in South Lebanon, Beirut, and all the main bridges connecting the capital with rest of the country;the latest being the severe aggression on Qana, which resulted in at least 57 dead, including 37 Children. The shelling over Gaza continues, and the Israeli occupation forces are continuing their attacks on other West Bank cities, villages, and refugee camps.

The YWCA of Palestine has sent this Action Alert to all National YWCAs.
Journey for Justice 4
The Joint Advocacy Initiative of the East Jerusalem YMCA and YWCA of Palestine are participating in the “Journey for Justice 4” at the YMCA in Beit Sahour from 27 June through 6 July. Participants this year came from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Quatemala, Spain, Lesotho, Japan, Netherlands, and Belarus.

Peace was high on the agenda from June 25-July 1, 2005 when more than 35 women from four Middle Eastern YWCAs gathered in Beirut to address key concerns for the region.
