December 2012: Securing SRHR and Responding to HIV
The World YWCA is a leading organisation in addressing the impact of HIV and AIDS on women and girls and the promotion of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Through YWCAs in more than 70 countries the World YWCA is striving to provide safe and inclusive, non-judgmental and confidential spaces for women and girls to discuss the challenges they face in relation to HIV and to claim their SRHR.
Young women and women living with HIV are a priority focus of the YWCA's work, along with addressing intersections of SRHR and HIV and violence against women.
