…. 6 months to go until we meet in Zurich for the World YWCA Council! While we continue with our preparations for this exciting event, we would like to share with you some information on the post council visits. You may wish to consider staying a few extra hours or days and discover Switzerland after World Council.

Swiss Discovery Holiday Package – July 18-22, 2011
The YMCA holiday centre Hasliberg is well located in the heart of Switzerland and is an excellent place to relax and discover the Swiss mountains and culture. The centre is offering a special Swiss Discovery Holiday package for 20-60 participants of World YWCA Council, which includes full board and accommodation in single, double or triple rooms (showers and toilets on the floor). On each day participants will have the choice between two optional day trips or half day trips to discover many natural and cultural sights of this beautiful region: Excursions include some of the most important sights in Switzerland.
Two Day Hiking Tour in the Swiss Alps – July 17-18, 2011
The “CEVI Alpin” Swiss YWCA/YWCA hiking and mountaineering club would like to share their passion for the mountains and offers special hiking tours in the Swiss Alps.
Discover Geneva – July 17, 2011
Discover Geneva on a one day city tour by bus and boat! Visit the World YWCA Office with staff members.
Discover Zurich – July 17, 2011
Enjoy Zurich and its surroundings with Swiss volunteers and professional guides. There will be different optional sightseeing activities in and around Zurich, for example, a visit to the famous Zurich Zoo, a visit and encounter with the local Zurich YWCA/YMCA, a walking tour through the city, or a boat trip on Lake Zurich, and more.
Best of Switzerland Coach Tour – July 18-21, 2011
This accompanied sightseeing coach tour lasts 4 days and you will see some of the most beautiful sights of Switzerland.

You also have the option of making your own plans after World Council. The well organised public transport system in Switzerland is unique and it is easy and enjoyable.
