In July 2009, World Council Mailing # 2 was sent to YWCAs with information to help associations and delegations prepare for World YWCA Council 2011, including an information sheet on ‘Getting to Zurich - Financial Information’ and ideas to support fundraising efforts.

In January 2009, YWCAs received a Call to the World YWCA Council announcing the official dates of July 10-16, 2011 with the theme of ’Women Creating a Safe World’.
