World YWCA SRHR Regional Coordinators Nirmala (Asia) and Jill (Africa) at the World Office

The project “Promoting the realization of the right to health for young women and girls“  supported by the Government of Finland,  will support and build the capacity of 400 young women champions to transform negative narratives around young women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and mental health.

As part of this project, we are proud to announce that the inspiring and engagement young women, Jill Anami (Kenya) and Nirmala Gurung (Nepal) started work as the Regional Coordinators for Africa and Asia respectively. These young women are leading the way to qualitatively engage more young women from the regions into the platforms and debates on bodily autonomy, changing dominant narratives and informing policy decisions around the issues concerning them.
