The World YWCA has launched a global guide for young women’s transformative leadership. Created by and for young women, RiseUp! helps young women empower themselves and create their own personal transformation as part of their leadership journeys. It also helps them claim their human rights and develop their leadership skills.
“We hope that this will be the first step in the empowerment of a vast cohort of young women around the world,” said Malayah Harper, General Secretary, World YWCA. “In fact, our bold goal as a movement is to have 100 million young women leaders by 2035 who will drive transformative social, economic and environmental change.”
Rise Up includes a printed hard copy guide, as well as phase I of the SheLeads digital platform, which will enable young women to learn and connect with their peers around the world so they can inspire each other, mobilise around issues of greatest importance to them and act for change
