RiseUp! Peace, Conflict, and Justice Module

At World YWCA, we believe that young women and girls must be at the heart of building peace and advancing justice. Their leadership, lived experiences and collective courage are essential to creating communities free from violence and war.

Co-designed by and for girls, young women, and women, the RiseUp! Peace, Conflict and Justice (PCJ) Module brings peacebuilding concepts from abstract policy into daily practice. Rooted in feminist values, it explores how we understand and respond to conflict, strengthen advocacy, and build intergenerational support systems. Through reflection, dialogue, and practical activities, it invites us to shift from “power over” to “power with”.

Supported by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), this resource is for young leaders, activists, facilitators, and organisations working towards peace and justice in their communities. It recognises that this work demands both courage and collective care.
