Ryan Stanton

Information and Technology Senior Specialist (Great Britain and Germany)

Based in Berlin, Ryan is the Information and Technology Senior Specialist at the World YWCA, where he leads the enhancement of IT systems, the development of digital tools, and the advancement of cybersecurity measures.

 Before joining the World YWCA, Ryan spent seven years as Events Manager at the International Civil Society Centre, where he managed global events and strategic meetings for civil society leaders. He led the Centre’s transition to online events during the COVID-19 pandemic and developed a digital strategy to sustain engagement. Ryan also oversaw the adoption of a new constituent relationship management (CRM) system, integrating it into organisational workflows and co-developing the Centre’s internal AI policy. Passionate about digital technology and social justice, he initiated and led the Centre’s Digital Dialogue series, amplifying diverse perspectives on emerging digital trends and their impact on civil society, with a focus on inclusion and gender equality.

Ryan’s career spans roles across the public and non-profit sectors, with expertise in community engagement, youth mobilisation, and digital transformation. He has a proven track record in empowering diverse communities and fostering inclusive participation. He holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Leeds and completed part of his studies at the Tischner European University in Kraków, Poland.
